To a lot of people, 5 years may seem like a very long time, but for us 5 years is just a fraction of the time we will be together. .

16th April: a normal hectic day, bogged by the never ending calls & emails from my clients, and concentrating on clearing my work with my earphones plugged on. And suddenly was interrupted by a high pitch voice from behind and Diamond shrieked: Leslie, Leslie FLOWERS FOR YOU!! OHHhhhhHHhhh!. I turned and look and there's a delivery man with a huge bouquet of brightly coloured Gerberas.

Yes of course, it's from my darling, drew.

17th: My first cable car experience. Sky dining @Jewel Box, serving a 3 course dinner with a scenic cable car ride. The ride is around 2 hours, and it's really romantic to go through dinner with your partner while enjoying the view esp for now, there's the building of IRs so you'll get to see the WIP of the upcoming big thing, not bad.

Only thing is that the food is not fantastic, the portion is small and it's not very warm when served. And we felt a bit sick after the meal, could be due to the motion while eating, felt kind of nauseous..

Well apart from the above, it was lovely!

It's been awhile since I last posted something, reason being:
1. Totally busy with my work, everyday literally
2. Fell ill right after my birthday for 1week plus, it's a pity..actually wanted to post some really nice pictures for my 25th birthday celebration, next time maybe
3. Obsessed with Japanese & Korean Drama, well it's the only thing that takes away all my stress from work, so SHUDUP if you wanna say I'm a loser!

So why the sudden update now, it's because I just happened to read a blog entry posted by this person, and he seemed very upset and angry with his dad (if I didn't decipher the situation wrongly). And after reading it, I actually was quite disturbed what he wrote (not mentioning it just to give the dad some respect).

Seriously whatever it is, I feel that it is best not to write when one is angry because the mind can't think at that time. Needless to say, whatever that comes out without being processed can't be anything good.

And what good is there to pen all these down, when you've cooled down and are no longer angry and read your own post again, does it make you feel any better? Or does it make you regret what you wrote because many might have already seen what you wrote to know how ugly you are on the inside...

The long awaited concert that crashed Sistic's server on the first day of its ticket sale is now over..Personally I wouldn't say it's fantastically great because Jay Chou's voice is a little croaky (heard he’s in Zouk’s member area the night before) and not to mention there is the forgetting of lyrics here and there.

Not great but good, because overall I still enjoyed myself and every part of his concert yesterday!
I think the best part is when he plays these songs on the piano - Hei Se You Mo, An Jing and the ‘Secret’ theme music... SOOOO charming!!! And he not only sings all new songs from his latest albums but sung the older songs as well and we’re able to sing along. Absolutely love the Kai Bu Liao Kou & Zui Chang De Dian Ying, that’s just two of my many favourite.

He’s really very talented, able to play the piano well and plays other instruments like the guitar, gu zhen and drums during other parts of his concert as well. I think its kind of different watching someone you like perform on TV and from a close proximity; if he’s having another concert, I hope to watch it again :D

It was a long day of filming for everyone, we reached Mediacorp at 12noon and the filming ends at around 11pm..

Well this program is sponsored by SFMA on local food products and there are 4 contestants paired with 1 celebrity each to go through a few elimination rounds to get to 1 overall winner.

And I think it's because of the green jumper that I was wearing that I got to pair-up with the uprising star, Nathaniel Ho (Nat for short) as he's wearing a green top too. I must say he's absolutely nice, one without airs and the feeling one gets from him is that he's very real.

There are a few elimination rounds, and my team was the first to get ousted, all because of the twister round. It's just that stamina wasn't enough to win against the odds, kept getting into some awkward position, and finally the last straw came when our palms are all sweaty and have to get onto a spot that is far beyond our reach and kaboom we're down and we're out! But it was definitely a fun experience!

It's kind off weird posing against this very long outdoor ad of 'Singapore's Most Influential Creative Directors', seriously speaking how many people actually bother looking at it or even knowing which creative agencies are featured? Not unless one is from the advertising line or actually know one of the creative directors from there.

And it always happens when 'out-of-advertising-people' ask: "Oh you're in advertising? Which agency are you from?" and when you tell them, they will be like "Oh, okay..never heard of"

Like hello? In the first place, do they even know any names to start with? Seriously, it's not just the smaller names I'm talking about but they're even ignorant to the bigger ones.. Moral of the story, Don't act like you know a lot, when you know nothing at all.

Our brilliant cheesecakes

it's a friday, the usual meetups of the gals and we have decided to do something different apart from chilling, shopping, ktv-ing..anything that requires spending of money, as it's coming to the end month and we're a lil' broke. After like multiple suggestions, we have decided to spend our friday night making cheesecakes, watch dvd and sleepover at one of my galfren's house.

The recipe for the day is:

Choco Dream Cheesecake (well, it's entirely up to you to name it, i guess.)
serves 24

ingredients 5 blocks of Philadelphia cream cheese
1/2 can of low fat condense sweeten milk
1/2 block of margarine/butter
1 box of Oreo cookies, from Watson's or supermarket
ready-to-use chocolate syrup
baking trays x 3 (can get those disposable aluminum plates from supermarkets)

directions
1. Break all the Oreo cookies till it is in crumbs, mix in the margarine/butter. The mixture is ready to be used for the crust.

2. Press the mixture onto the bottom of the baking trays, and bake it at oven temperature 220degrees for 2mins. (bake for 4mins if you are using a toaster) After that allow them to cool.

3. Mix the cheese, condense milk and ready-to-use chocolate syrup (portion is up to you, can add more if you want it to be more chocolaty) till it is all smooth and even.

4. Pour in the cheese mix onto the hardened crust and smoothen them out. After that you may decorate the cake in the manner you want by pouring on the chocolate syrup.

5. Refrigerate for at least 5hours for the crust and cheese to set, and ta-dah the final product below!

Drew reserved a table at Phuture for his birthday celebration and everywhere around Zouk was completely packed because of Vesak day holiday the next day. We reached there around 10plus and the queue has already reached all the way to the car park and back. Luckily we had the sane mind to weave and cut into the queue and mananged to get in.

And there it was just me and him, waiting for his friends to arrive. Turned out all tickets at Phuture was sold out by the time they reached, and they had to re-queue to enter from Velvet. If I'm right, I think we waited for them for at least an hour an a half, and they managed to get in only after drew went out and tried to "sweet talk" the bouncer...

what can we expect from celebrating your birthday at a club, well PURE DRUNKENNESS! a nite of hard liquor followed by puke~puke and more puke :|~~~~~~~~~

Saturday, 14th April was my darling's convocation held at NUS, where he officially graduated from UQ.

After the graduation ceremony, we went to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and we decided on that because there wasn't anything else for us to choose from as we've already watched most of the recent, decent nice movies. Well.. we didn't know it was an animation from the start and we went into the cinema, seated and got puzzled when we saw that they are screening some unfamiliar animation. And naturally I nudge my darl and asked him to check with someone beside to find out what film they are showing, and the person replied, "Erm..er I think it is Ninja Turtles.." And we were like, okkkkk..oh well...

At the end of the short and not that fantastic movie, we went to have dinner at The French Stall at Little India. As the name imply, they serve authentic French cuisine and if you're looking for something different and at an affordable price, you may consider coming here.

we didn't particularly like the chicken liver. Taste quite yucky, and it's cold.

I say the veal shank is the best out of all we've ordered.

Happy 4 Years Anniversary to us
4(April) x 4(Years) = The number 16

Our 4 years together, that explains why it's a big day for us. I think i may have disappointed my darl abit because he went through the trouble of doing something different this time. He handled me an envelope and told me he bought vouchers for me and when i opened it i saw strips of paper with words printed on them and they just don't really make any sense to me. My darl went on to explain that I have to guess the present from the clues on the strips of papers to receive the actual presents. I did try my best to guess what it is and i just did not manage to get any of them right even after like a million tries and then i got a little discouraged and he did not want to give me any clues. Without any choice, he helped me through the 4 strips and i must say i really sux at it, i think i'm weekend brain dead. I can see that my darl is obviously a'lil pissed, but at the end after seeing smoke coming out of my head from the intense racking of my brain (or he said i didn't try hard enough), he lead me into saying out the answers, ALL 4 of them..

A lot has happened at work lately, and i feel that this is the lowest point of my life..
I FEEL SO DOWN! And the worst part is that I've killed my own chance at something that may change my present situation..oh well, it's too late for regrets now.

Part 1:
Had a great time with my darling, he planned my birthday celebration yesterday and today! Yesterday he brought me to Oosh, an alfresco bar restaurant and it is located in the Tanglin Village area, on Holland Road. The place has great ambience, serendity and the food is good for it's price.

For starters we ordered Laugen Bun Mini Beef and Foie Gras Burger. I've never tasted Foie Gras before, and just for that small piece tucked in between the bun and the beef, it didn't leave an impression until i pulled the piece out and try to really figure how it taste like. I must say it's good, melts in the mouth!

Main course for me is the Pacific Dory, Thai Asparagus and Flying Fish Roe Butter Sauce. It was highly enjoyable. The servings of the dory were generous, and the sauce was lovely. I like how the roe was included in the sauce, giving it a bit of a bite while imparting a subtle flavour at the same time.

It was Grilled Chicken Thigh for my darling, I tried some of it and it was done nicely, very tender and was served with asparagus and mash potato.

To top off all that goodness was the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Torte with Vanilla Gelato which was also my birthday cake! The warm chocolate oozed out of the torte easily, and tasted wonderful with the creamy, sweet vanilla gelato was a lovely complement to the warm torte.

The night's experience was great if not for the slow service and the lack of coordination skills for the staff. One of the waitress actually said ok when we asked for the menu, and waited and she never came back! One must really not be in a rush to eat there because it is definetely going to be rounds of waiting from the time we reach(even though we reserved) till the time we asked for the bill.(YES, we waited too!)

After that we headed to Great World City to catch "Letters from Iwo Jima" and thanks to the time wasted at Oosh, we missed the first 30 minutes of the show. The show was long and quite sad to watch, what do we expect it is a war story..

Part 2:
I did not expect my darling to pop up at my house suddenly with sphagetti he made and it tasted really good, I love the meat bits!

It's really a blessed 24th birthday for me, darling thanks for planning everything!

Ever since my 21st birthday, the rest of my subsequent birthdays - 22nd and 23rd seem to pass so quickly. It is scary just to think about me turning 24 soon. Before I know it, I could be updating my blog with celebrating or not, my 30th birthday. It's happening too fast for me to react! Sometimes I still think I'm only 22, which comes to me as something natural, because when people ask me about my age, I will just say I'm 22. Then after that I’ve realized I'm still in that mental stage in terms of my age, I wish for my age to stay still…well of course I did correct my age after that, and sad to say and I WILL BE 24 soon!

Did an advance celebration as my birthday this year falls on a weekday. Gathered my bessies for dinner at suntec, a sundanese restaurant. The food is okay but the portion is quite small.

After food was Zouk, stayed at winebar the whole night with many rounds of alcohol ordering and downing. Thank you gurls for the lovely present and the great tasting shooters with names that will even make guys blush..

I'm thinking of getting an mp3 player that has the functionality of playing videos, mp3s, FM radio and store pictures/data.

Given the fact that a Creative mp3 player offers more, at a lower price than an Apple player, I have shortlisted a few models that meet my requirements. I know you must be thinking, hey but it's worth paying a little more for Apple! But seriously I don't mind the brand as long as it serves its purpose, then it's good enough for me.

Did last min cleaning up of my place, and Yes, I just moved to another room! Within the last 24hour I was still sleeping side by side with my sister. Since we have an extra room and it has been left vacant for a few months since my grandma moved to my aunt's place, I have finally decided to make good use of the room.

I have decided to revamp both rooms; changed into new sheets and rearranged all furnitures and with the help of my mom, we dusted every corner and finally after half a day of slogging, TA-DAH our rooms with a new look:

It was certainly a night of food, liquor and fun, excluding guys of course (erm, well except for the fact that ben is there with yumi) Went to Vivo and had dinner @Thai Accent, the food is good and the price is reasonable, but SPICY there's chilli in everything! After that we went to St James and well from the pictures, it's just crazy drinking, ice and nuts throwing and what more, my closet lesbian friends finally revealed their true self after a couple of drinks; the effects of alcohol..

HK Trip 2nd - 7th Jan 2007

It was a fun but tiring trip, really thanking will for letting us stay over and making a mess out of his place during that 6 days, and too being a generous host, brought us around shopping and treated us to many great food. THANKS WILL, we'll see you soon!

Being the second time in HK, we visited Disneyland for we missed it the first time round. I should say it's not that fantastic as I imagined it to be, more like for kids. I preferred Movieworld(australia) to Disneyland(hk), the rides were better and the place bigger and more to see.

Yes, it's the time of the year again, for presents, food and wine. This year's christmas is so meaningful for me, had my load of fun in celebrating with frens, loved ones and my first time in the church choir singing for the Lord's day.

It's been an eventful year with a lot of learning opportunities and fun! - April 2006 I joined XM and 22nd December 2006 officially my last day there. Since today's my last day, I did some clearance stuff, packing and handovers.

Initially when I first joined the company and met my team members, I thought,"Oh shit, all of them looks nerdy, SIANZ" But after working with them, I feel that the saying about never judge a book by the cover is true after all! All of them are fun and cracks the not-at-all funny and lamest jokes, AND some even having alter egos!? BUT it is through all of these that we are so close as a team, and I would like to thank all of you - Ronnie, KW, Leon, Bee, Eda, Gerald, Travis for guiding and helping me through all these while and for all the fun times too, that I'll never forget.

I've been on hiatus mode since January, and I've finally decided to come back to blogging - with a new layout and url. No particular reason except I've got lotsa backdated stuff to update, and too foresee loads of upcoming happening happenings, now that my DARLING's back!
